I don’t think they could run an SWM without cities burning from the batshit crazy wing of the party, which seems to hold a lot of sway.
My read on the political situation is that those who are really calling the shots are sweating bullets due to the obviousness of the 2020 fraud, perpetrated by mindless drones not acting under orders from above. They want a competent-seeming person in office with a minimum of visible fraud so that the peasants forget in a haze of sportsball and carbs.
The problem they have is competent-seeming pretty much means a White guy, but the Squad types will go ballistic. So the best compromise is Pete Buttgag, who is a WM but a bit light in the loafers. He is also a WEF YGL, which is how he got catapulted from a no-name mayor of a no-name city to national prominence for no visible reason.
Guess we’ll just have to wait & see. Will have to keep an eye on Pete too.
A moderate, middle-aged white male from West Virginia? No way – too close to “deplorable” status. Plus, he hasn’t always toed the party line.
For POTUS candidate, I’d guess a white non-Hispanic or Hispanic male, or a white non-Hispanic female, somebody less “populist” than Manchin, with a recent record of consistently supporting the party line. Either POTUS or VP must be woke-compatible, so one will have to be from a “marginalized” group if the other isn’t.
I don’t think Pete is credible as a POTUS candidate. Gruesome Newsom is one to watch out for. I might have guessed they’d pull Andrew Yang out of a hat, but not now that Asians are personae non gratae to the woke.
Don’t you think there has to be an attraction on both sides of the aisle? No Dem will vote for any Republican, but Republicans would vote for a moderate Dem, esp. if The Republican candidate is an idiot dud, like Cruz, or, a Bush. Manchin single-handedly killed BBB & Inflation Bill he knocked down from $4T to $400B.
It’s anyone’s guess I suppose. We’ll just have to watch as things for forward.
An attraction on both sides of the aisle would be rational thinking, even from a self-serving point of view. Yet I get the impression the Dem party is so far off the rails that they abandoned rational thinking some time ago.
Whoever it is, it’s all the same to me. Analyzing the presidential election is like a day at the racetrack – a place to go every once in a while to see if you can pick a winning horse, just for entertainment. I only hope it’s not De Santis because I (selfishly) hope he stays governor of Florida!
Hahahaha! How very true!
Perhaps someday they’ll even have a candidate that will represent the people?
I for one, think it would be a good idea, don’t you think?
If Newsom somehow ends up on the ticket, you can be sure that, as Farrell and Fitts contend, the goal is to split the union apart.
That’s probably the goal no matter who’s on the ticket.
True enough and I see that guy as an accelerant. He’s loathsome.
They made him an offer he couldn’t refuse, just as they have everyone else.
Oh his soul is bought and paid for, no doubt. A measure of pity towards him is appropriate, if difficult.
Don’t they decide these things before voting day?
The script’s already been written.
Now, the players just have to read their teleprompters.
The wild card are the people.
