As C. A. Fitts says a lot, “They like to stack functions”.
Another idea was proposed since at that time Russian Pres. Putin was on a return trip from a tour of Cuba, and several South and Central American nations. A long blog was initiated by an airline pilot, that fully debunked the idea a Russian BUK missile was used to bring the Malaysian airliner down. A BBC report that initiated the rumor was retracted about 2 hours after it was broadcast. The reason was because no one in the Ukraine witnessed the unmistakable large plume of smoke that would have been emitted by a BUK missile that would have been visible even 10 to 20 kilometers from the crash site. All eyewitness reports claimed an enemy aircraft was seen firing upon the aircraft’s cockpit area. This was substantiated by the fact the cockpit broke away from the fuselage in midair. Also, there were 100’s of holes in the area around the cockpit while none were evident in the passenger section. I regret not saving all that information since the incident attracted a lot of attention.
