Full job description
We are a poop scooping company based in North Houston, we service all of North Houston and the surrounding areas. We are currently looking for a poop scooper to add to our team long term. Most people think this is a easy job, but please be advised, it does require attention to detail and you must be able to handle the labor in the heat or cold. The position requires being outside during your entire shift. We would prefer someone who has scooping experience, but it is not required.
Job Details:
We service back yards based on a routing system, it stays about the same every week so it will keep your work consistent, but will also keeping growing with new signups. The basic’s of the job includes driving, scooping dog poop, spraying deodorizer, and maintaining a clean vehicle. You will also be communicating with customers as needed. We are looking for someone who would like to stay at the company long term.
This position is 1099 so you are responsible for your own taxes. We will supply you with a vehicle to do your route in and all equipment needed to do the job. Our hours of operation of 7AM - 7PM. We expect technicians to pick up their vehicles between 6:30AM - 7:30AM. Routes can take up to between 6-9 hours daily, currently they take about 40-50 hours a week. This will vary based on your route size and how much you can handle. We pay our scoopers a 25% commission based on the work performed so there are always opportunities to grow your route and make more money, but you don’t get paid if you don’t do the work.
We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, but when it rains during the week we do try to make up the services on the weekends and need someone who will be available if needed for make up services.
Position Requirements:
-MUST BE OKAY WITH DOGS
-Must be at least 24 years old
-Must be able to handle being outside for long periods
-Must have transportation to and from where the vehicle is parked
-Arrive to pick up the vehicle between 6:30AM - 7:30AM
-Be available until the route is done, no set hours
-Monday - Friday Availability, *also needed on Weekend if there is bad weather during week
-Must be able to work outside in heat, cold, and mild rain
-Must have cell phone that can be used for gps and emails
-Must have 3 years of a clean driving record
-Must be able to pass a background check
-Must not have any felony offenses
