Js bach's great organ masterworks

Some very nice performances here, and I especially like Anna Lapwood’s performance of the Aminor prelude and fugue, BWV 543 at 11:07. (And by the way, Richard McVeigh absolutely “gets” the 532, especially the prelude… check it out at 1:00:26 for a lot of fun and he “gets” the score!)

Wonderful. Is that Gloucester cathedral?

Yes I believe the initial performance is there.

Wow! Well whoever was recording used some lovely microphones. Can hear some smooth low end from that immense instrument.

This beauty sits about 25 minutes away from me and while many would disagree , it’s largely wasted.
