And C J Hopkins has it figured out…
That Global Research / OffGuardian article nailed it – clear, logical, and succinct.
I like C J Hopkins (and God knows he’s being persecuted by the shameless current Reich), but I’m not convinced about this thesis that capitalism, by its very nature, leads to persecution of dissidents. I might be misunderstanding his argument though.
On intrusive global government: there have always been and will always be petty low level criminals. They always find a way to thwart gun control, drug control, and so far money controls. I think they will find a way under the ‘new’ control system to do similar things. Even the sci-fi dystopian films often have the shadowy criminal figures who skate around the controls (Han Solo was a smuggler if you didn’t pick that up). So, are we entering a time when the independent minded have to have a public persona and a true one? Once the criminals figure out ‘how’, will it be necessary to mimic them? Maybe learning Unix and Dark Web will become the new way.
