Latest rialto in richmond sequel update

Well more bad weather, BUT… I worked like crazy today, and finished chapter 7. Two more to go! 8 will be very difficult, but then 9 will be the conclusions and go fairly quickly so I am almost done with the sequel to Rialto in Richmond, and Lord willing might be able to finish this coming week, as more bad weather is predicted.

Welcome news, and you are in our prayers as the last of the frigid weather advances upon us. My prediction is that you will see spring and the chinook winds that will bring a wonderful spring into your area.

I am looking forward to the sequel! Joseph, I hope your weather improves. Meanwhile, We are busy with the task of navigating our way to rebuilding our house that burned down in the wildfire of the Pacific Palisades. Most of us are not “Rich Folks”, just young working couples and old retired people who have been here for years.
On the 7th of January I was checking the mail as Rialto had been delivered. As I turned around from the mailbox I saw flames at the top of the hill. In the meantime we are currently leasing a townhouse. In any event, I hope the sequel doesn’t take as long to be shipped after it is ordered from AUP as Rialto did.

Wish for the best of luck to you and family bluefalken. Plan to rebuild in palisades? insurance giving problems? Any direct thoughts on cause to your home being destroyed? was it just in the path of the naturally moving flames?

This is what is left of the bookshelf and the library of Joseph’s books minus the Rialto. Also some Tom Van Flanders and other books from some of Joseph’s bibliographies. This is after residents were allowed back in. The EPA has completed the 1st phase on most blocks. The next phase is the debris removal by the Army Corps pf Engineers. The process of contractor and insurance negotiations. Quite the learning experience. We do plan to rebuild. I feel such deep gratitude to all those who have and are helping us and to our neighbors, one in particular for his friendship, encouragement, and inspiration.

Thank ypu so very much Joseph. I plan on replacing all of my hard copies of your books and hopefully a few others. I am 76 years old but I still plan to continue to live a long healthy life and to be able to enjoy re-reading the hard copies too.

We just got the new bill for home insurance for April, 2025 to April, 2026 with just a slight increase of little over 1%. Attitude of gratitude.

Oh dear bluefalken, I am a mere 68 but don’t know if I would have the energy to survive what you and yours are going thru. I suppose when one has no choise, you bite the bullit. I pray grace is given to you to truly build back better, to coin a phraze so popular and misused and be given a very ripe old age and stick it to em!

So sad. The whole thing is just so sociopathic or psychopathic or both. In NC many lived in tents on what was left of their land after Helene and flooding. Hope you are in a better situation. Prayers for you all. May the Lord bless you and keep you and teach you many things about his magesty over circumstances.
