I was in a 5yr engineering university.
Because. according to the draft, your supposed to complete 1/4 of your degree per year;
I received a “Greetings” from Uncle Sam[draft notice].
Curses, Foiled Again!
Ironic, since I received a principal appointment to Annapolis the year before.
But now, I enjoy can reading military novels w/an inside perspective…
Right now I’m reading; book four of the Abner Fortis, ISMC sci-fi series, Gnamma.
The author writes w/a keen insight to what really goes on w/in the deeper layers of policy,
and what actually takes place when the rubber meets the road.
Like, hidden finance.
Like the Military Industrial, Congressional, Media, Academic. Think-Tank Complex.
Just finished book two of the, Miles To VietNam series; about a young artillery officer learning the difference between real world and the world according to the Rear Echelon MF’ers.
Dr. Farrell might like it because it’s loaded for bear in all kinds of artillery, its strategies, weapons on all sides, and then what really happened on-the-ground.
They’re by an author who had previously written extensively on WW11, William Peter Grasso.
I want the author to get more into the war that was taking place between: under 4 vs. over 4.
[between the professional military[in for a career], and basically - those who were drafted]
One reason why “they” need an all volunteer military today, at all costs.
