Refin dropped the appraisal on my house this week by about $500. Seems the housing market is just as prone to psychological adjustment as the stock market.

The housing boom was one heck of a sales promotion, which requires a bit of psychological technique, that was a set up that blew up.

… Didn’t Catherine Austin Fitts claim that she had created a software program that enabled the tracking down to a fine detail of all the financial shenanigans at HUD and that it was seized by the government? Maybe she kept a copy of the software and could let Elon have a go at it.

… she claimed that Community Wizard (the software) data revealed that some federally-guaranteed mortgage securities may have been fraudulently issued.

… so we already knew much that DOGE is finding. “… in 2017 Fitts co-authored a report, with economist Mark Skidmore, that claimed to find $21 trillion in “unauthorized spending” by the U.S. Department of Defense, and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development over a 17-year period.”

Yes. In fact, she was ready to audit the southern tier for questionable spending when she was still Asst. Secretary but they blew up the files in the Murrah Federal Building (Oklahoma City) a week before she was supposed to be there. (They also destroyed files for veterans being treated for cancer related disorders from low level radioactive munitions in Vietnam that was costing the DOD/VA gazillions). She developed Community Wizard once she “retired” and started Hamilton Securities.
