I would like to hear the recording from the “fly on the wall” prior to the meeting, just to get context…
My biggest takeaway on this is that if Trump is elected, Musk will likely have a HUGE position in DJT Admin. Were all these events happenstance, or are we watching a show?
Musk mentioned the need for “efficiency” in government which reminded me of the pre technocracy movement in the early part of 20th century when efficiency experts were all the rage…
Now imagine that the latest gossip has Vance being booted by Trump and replaced with Elon. Elon eventually becomes POTUS. Don’t scoff! After all that’s happened and the wild events that continue to occur, anything is possible.
Probably repeating common knowledge here but just in case: I’ve read Musk’s grandfather was drummed out of Canada because of his favoring technocracy as a form of government. And then; there’s the W Von Braun book about colonization of Mars written in the early 50s? Form of government for the colony was to be technocracy. Ruler’s name for the government leader was the Elon. And Musk wants to make a colony on Mars governed by technocracy. Hmmmm a long term plan playing out?
I’m certainly open to reform of the ‘popularity contest’ form of ‘Our Democracy (we almost lost it - Pelosi)’. With so much of the population dumbed down / mis-informed by MSM the idea of the useless eaters voting has led us to the miserable place we find the nation.
Undecided on technocracy, ‘popularity contest’ …neither seems ideal as a form of government.
How about combining the two, voting for the most popular technology programs? The politicians would be the sales reps for them…
Interesting idea…some issues to solve like voting integrity, and informed voter. There are interesting possibilities though for direct voting including mandatory 'this will cost each citizen X $ if implemented. I would really like to see an end to the mis-named congress bills that produce slush funds for unelected bureaucrats to decide how the money is spent by sketchy NGOs.
