Statements from the plant Mgr. Is all over twitter. I cannot confirm but, Russia has not denied, as yet. If you have another source, please post it. Do not know if containment is breached or not.

Yes & lots more sources too; telegrm, etc. Most saying Russians will not allow firefighters in & have blocked off area with tanks & troops.
Reactors look in tact. Think this is one of the towns mentioned to have biolabs.

That would make sense. We do not know what happened. Did the Russians block the firefighters? I have a hard time believing that.
NATO is going to use what happened here. Blame the Russians for the overhyped risk to ratonalize entering the war.

Russians allowed firefighters in after firing on them when they first approached. I would not doubt that this & other incidents could be used for US/NaTO to enter. Question is, while we’re busy watching Ukraine, what’s going on behind our backs that we’re not being shown or, can’t see.

How long do you think Poland is sitting there waiting to be only half arse supported by US probably not at all by creepy Germany? I’m not buying it. I don’t believe the Russians fired upon the plant itself. Think about it, this would provide them with no benefit and whole bull pucky pot of trouble. Also, why would they keep the Ukrainian security team on site at Chernobyl? To prevent false flags maybe? Bet you they will do the same here.

@3rdofthe5ODeuce My understanding is that as Russian troops entered the area, Ukrainian forces fired on them & Russians returned fire. With regard to Chernobyl, I think Russians were guarding any nuclear material that could be used as dirty bombs or, sold. For now, I think it might be Russian plans to do the same with this Ukrainian plant & they will likely take control of all other plants in Ukraine. (IMO) Can also cut lots of power in those grids.
