I would submit that perhaps The Odyssey( :copyright: Homer[ not Simpson]) was an earlier “SciFi” book. At least according to Doris Lessing’s interpretation in her volume “Canopus in Argos”, inspired, among other things, by G.I.Gurdjieff’s SciFi tome “Beelzebub’s Tales to His Grandson”.
