Sorry guys, but my grandmother contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever (RMSF) & Lyme in 1906, so, there’s something amiss with this theory. Not sure what will be presented as “origin”, but with the difficulty of getting treatment for Lyme (I had over 13 yrs. of it), we don’t need any more falsehoods or myths. Even the Native Americans knew about TBD (tick borne disease) centuries ago & avoided certain areas in Spring & Fall. In Texas, it can be year-round, with exception of freezes. This one probably doesn’t add up.
