Imagine the following: You’ve managed to scrape together a few dollars to run to the grocery store and buy a few staples with the dwindling purchasing power of your US dollars. You park your car, and, of course, lock it, and run into the store to do some shopping. While you’re shopping and noticing that…
Lol, local store cashiers always ask everyone if they want to round-up change to give to already over-funded charities so they don’t have to count.
Even when I ask if they’ll round-down to support local community members they never do that, only round-up.
We had a serious fire here in the UK last year, the fire service were quick to announce it started in a non electric vehicle but hey! who cares where it started? Look at what 1000 1 tonne lithium ion batteries can do
"The Luton fire has brought the issue of electric vehicles further into the spotlight. While it is understood that the fire started in a conventionally powered vehicle, the impact of the grouping of electric vehicles around charging points, the energy produced by fires involving lithium-ion batteries, and the challenge of containing or extinguishing them is now recognised and understood by many more people.”
I m not a fan of EV’s but I am uncertain as to how much greater the fire risk actually is relative to conventional vehicles .
