Perhaps. But, clearly, the governing class doesn’t want to break the cycle. So how does the populace get the governing class to act differently?
If we had a semi-functional federal government, the people might be able to get that government to cut off some portion of federal funds to states like California. That might help.
Honestly, I don’t see how very much good has a chance of being done through government if the Union is maintained. Secession didn’t work the last time states tried, so I hope somebody in the halls of state power is thinking up a better way to do it. If only the people could secede from the government!

Putting aside the criminal illegal identity, what would inspire or drive any human to kill three people and kill himself at the tender age of 21? He supposedly arrived here with his family in 2019 at age 15 from Honduras. What events in Honduras or here produced a need for self destruction and killing three others before himself?
