Merry Christmas and Thank You!

John and myself (Christine), from Canada, both wish all of you a Happy and Peaceful Christmastime, and well-being, joy and resilient strength in the coming new year.

We want to thank all of you for your rich (and diverse!) intellect, which has given a special lift to our lives, also knowing that we’re not alone in feeling a little displaced from the wider culture which seems to believe everything they hear on TV and Radio.

Firstly, Dr. Farrell – thank you for your fantastic and stimulating books, which are intellectual gems. Your scholarship and insights have opened up our view of the world immensely. Thank you for your ongoing Blogs in which you give thoughtful insights into current events. Thank you for your Vidchats as well, your thoughtful responses to all kinds of questions that span all different kinds of disciplines and directions! And thank you ever so much for making possible this extraordinary Forum.

Daniel, many thanks to you for your work. Even though you’re not in “everyone’s face” – we know you’re working behind the scenes to keep this amazing web site functioning and running as best you can. We are grateful for your behind-the-scenes support.

And, to all the Giza Members and Forum Participants: We thank you for your questions to the Vidchats, and to the array of topics that you post to the Forum, and to all of you who reply to other peoples’ posts with different thoughts and personal anecdotes into Life’s challenges and mysteries. We especially love how there doesn’t seem to be a “group think”, and that some people do feel comfortable in offering different perspectives to the topics that people post. We have been feeling enriched by your discussions (even if we don’t always have time to jump in ourselves). We don’t get that kind of discourse in the standard media (which we no longer consume), and so we enjoy peeking at the Forum daily, and reading Dr. Farrell’s blog posts, and coming away with different thoughts and angles and ideas from this group of extraordinary intellects that have assembled here.

For anyone who enjoys Christmas music, and not able to get out to a live concert this year, there is a beautiful Andre Rieu Christmas concert (2012) which included a fabulous rendition of Halleluja (towards the end).

May God Bless all of you!
