Depends on your definition of Christianity. If you include the Catholic Church and a few other “denominations”, I would say there was NO attempt to wipe out human sacrifice. Just like our “legal system” of change the wording and that somehow changes the facts. I think we are moving into a much more humanitarian world. Remember: I am the optimist here.
Pre 300AD Christians, where the divine spark and respect for human life tried to conquer the than status quo of disrespect and slave bonding.
