More than 300 new mines needed to meet electric vehicle demand, says analyst

As predicted almost two years ago for http://ReadMultiplex.com members. There are just about 6 companies that control 90% of production and they will continue for the next 6 years or so. Few know them, join us and know more.

CBC doesn’t usually allow a comment section. They must be gauging citizen reactions for the federal government…again. The lackeys that they are. From the comment section.

Thats the other side of the sword that people dont really like to discuss and need to be real about. To get to clean energy, materials still have to be harvested from the earth, there will still be waste (and the problem of how to deal with that waste), there will be huge amounts of energy used (right now we`re still very reliant on fossil fuels for many parts of the country). BUT we do have to get to no zero emissions sooner rather than later. Before people start pointing out that Canada per capita is not a huge polluter and why do we have to get to zero emissions, we live on one planet and not under a bubble. We as consumers also purchase most of our goods from poorer nations where our manufacturing corporations moved to because they have fewer environmental and employment rules to follow (so while “we” point fingers at these manufacturing nations, they’re in the position they’re in because of decisions made in North America)."

Wait until they find out we’re going to eat all their bugs! Imagine the anxiety that will create. They’ll probably start hoarding anxiety and depression meds. Let’s face it, they’re not very bright.
