My remedy for drowsiness and narcoleptic seizures in front of the screen

Hi. I just watched the vidchat from Sept. 17, and heard a lot of people complaining about drowsiness and falling asleep in front of the screen. I’ve had that problem myself for a while. This occured to me especially in the evening, but also late in the workday, as I do a lot of work on a computer.

The remedy for me, it seems, was aquiring a pair of blue-light filtering glasses, aka “computer-glasses”. These have worked wonders for me, and wasn’t all that expensive. The “brain-fog” late in the workday is gone, and I’m not struggeling to stay awake for the latter part of the evening. My sleep has improved, and for some reason, I dream a lot more during the night.

I can strongly recommend people who are suffering from “the fog” to try out this option, since we are all being subjected to more and more artificial and unnatural light. There is also a substancial body of research done on this subject, wich highlights the negative effects of “blue-light”.

… Thanks for the good info eferiksen. Very interesting to me was your comment that “I dream a lot more during the night.” This, at least anecdotally, suggests to me a connection between the two. On “blue light” give a listen to the dialog Dr. Farrell did with Schwarzenstein (under Member Dialogs, 22 May 2021)

Thanks for the tip. I will revisit that one.
Going all in protection mode here. Disconnected routers, refused the smartmeter, and generally “faradaying” what I can. I think people would do well to at least get the small things sorted in and around their nest. We are being attacked on multiple fronts, and a lot of these things have an accumulative effect.

… Good Deal! … had several odd health symptoms after our smart meter was installed (renting at the moment so had no way to refuse the meter) If you don’t have an EMF meter may I recommend

Have had this meter for several months and am very pleased with its ease of use and performance. If you look around you can probably find it slightly cheaper.

Placed the order two days ago. Went for the cheaper model though…

I know about the blue light symptoms. I stare at my screen for hours on end while operating my recording studio and never experience the effect but I do get drowsy when listening to certain “grand pontificators” on certain podcasts. I’ve always written it off as being just plain boring crap. It always seems to happen when some “expert” is yammering on for clicks and likes while pushing some mindless meme. I wonder does it happen to people who buy into some of the clique/cults that seem to be going around and have been now for quite a few years? Hmmmmmmmm.

Well Sir (I deduce), You should not waste Your time with grand pontificators of boring crap; at least not contemporary ones. Nor should You concern Yourself with yammering “experts” pushing mindless memes; in my humble opinion. But I think that goes without saying for most of the members of this website, some of whom have voiced their concerns regarding drowsiness, when spending too much time in front of the screen. This issue was raised in the members vidchat, not half a fortnight ago; as You may well remember.

By then I had been using my “blue-light” filtering glasses for about a month. The remarkable effect they have on me, can hardly be overstated. For the price of 20£; this has been one of the best investments I have made this year. My energy levels are far above normal (or was it the new normal), and my sleep has greatly improved.

As for the latter part of Your statement, I cannot say that I concern myself with people buying into some [UNDEFINED] clique, or cult. Nor do I see how it is possible to offer a meaningful reply, to such an obfuscated post.

blue glasses? i’ll try, although do not have a problem, but maybe - who knows - it’ll be even better.
and by the way: anybody here done qigong?
the most ordinary way to raise ur awareness is just looking up into the sky. works wonders anywhere. or try to look at ur pineal gland. almost the same.
