Edible transistors made from toothpaste to power ‘smart pills’

I think the short-term goal is the “smart pills” part, so insurance companies and governments can sanction you if you don’t take pills a doctor prescribes. The obvious next step is edible transistors that stay in your body permanently, for surveillance and control purposes (“to monitor your health”). Ah, the weaponization of medicine . . . isn’t it glorious?!
