Nato running out of ammo

In a war of attrition Germany is the latest NATO country to begin running out of ammunition after sending supplies to Ukraine. - - - - - “Germany is running out of ammunition as it transfers armaments into Ukraine in light of the prolonged conflict. Germany is far from meeting the alliance’s requirement that each member keeps enough weapons to last 30 days of battle,” The Eurasian Times reported. “Furthermore, Berlin’s need for weapons has increased due to the federal government providing Ukraine with weapons from the Bundeswehr stockpile.”

Other NATO countries, especially the United States, have put themselves in a similar predicament — reduced weapons stocks for their own defense, which, for Washington, is especially problematic given that China is just biding its time until it launches an invasion of Taiwan.

NATO countries, in large, are not defense-capable at all, as they a while ago altered their capabilities to send troops/boats and, mostly, fighter planes, to far-off nations rather than beef up the guarding of their own borders. They would almost have to begin from scratch, including actually re-learning how to repel, and, fight an enemy on home turf.
