Don’t they need to stay on friendly terms if the alternative to the Suez canal is to be built?
Most of it surrounds areas where Yemen has been attacking and pirating boats.
I would say it’s to secure the immediate waters, not destroy SA.
I think there’s going to be some problems with a Red Sea route, not merely logistical but a possible change in geography and one has to remember, they have brilliant idiots, with no common sense, drawing up new plans, based on 100 yr. old plans in which certain assumptions were made.
I’ve seen this sort of thing play out before. BIG surprises coming!
