@uintatom Bottom line: Bibi-Trumps-buddy wants to gut Supreme Court so he can’t be booted. He’s currently under even more corruption charges. Is also first step toward instituting Jewish “laws” (Jewish Sharia).

The Country has no written constitution so the court functions in place of one. The Supreme Court in the US gets around controversial laws by simply not hearing the case. Which is better?

  • Netanyahu and his supporters say the changes are needed to rein in a judiciary that wields too much power.
  • The proposed changes would limit the Supreme Court’s powers to rule against the legislature and the executive, giving the Israeli parliament (Knesset) the power to override Supreme Court decisions with a simple majority of 61 votes out of 120.
  • A second proposal would take away the Supreme Court’s authority to review the legality of Israel’s Basic Laws, which function as the country’s constitution.
  • The reforms would also change how Supreme Court justices are selected, giving politicians decisive powers in appointing judges.

Just keep a close eye on this. Israel has most, if not all US technology and info, either by hook or by crook. This we cannot undo but perhaps it can be kept in check, IDK.

Oh, now Bibi address is ‘postponed’ until further notice. His coalition is threatening to resign.
The People want Bibi’s resignation. How willing do you think he will be to resign?
He keeps getting kicked out of office and oddly makes his way back in.
Has been going on for years. Time to put a stop to it and I hope The People do that.
IDF refusing to fly. Reservists refusing to serve. Doctors on strike. Largest labor union called a strike, effective immediately. Airports in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv shutting down; pilots refusing to fly.
Love it! Hoping more to come… Take notes USA; Israel showing us how to do it and eventually, we will have to do it.

We have the same problem here in Canada. If the Supreme Court of Canada doesn’t want hear a case it not only doesn’t have to, it doesn’t have to give a reason either.
