It reminds me the stories about cruel animal experiments back in the day, which has been done by the soviets and probably others. They wanted to figure out, in which part of the brain memory is, so they trained dog to do some tricks and then they started to lobotomize the animal. But even with the poor dog almost brainless, it still knew the tricks…
