I remember the early days of google, the search function was fun. Now you have to be creative in the search terms to avoid the junk mail, but sometimes when I use unique identifiers I am getting ‘no results’ more often than I did years ago.
The next stage of the trial is for remedies where there will likely be a forced debundling of search access points in apps and phones. It may not change results that much.

The point about Americans looking to the government for a messiah is a very important one. It just goes to show that people never really give up religion. When they turn their back on a traditional religion, they just replace it with another one – be it scientism, wokeism, atheism (no less a religion than theism, in my opinion), hero worship, or whatever. Even some militant atheists are starting to concede that society might need a traditional religion in order to function.
Personally, I don’t believe in messiahs, and I see some religions as better than others. But I can’t think of a worse place to put your hope and faith than in a politician or government.
