On the forum topic list under the title: Assad flees Syria, Mr. Orlov alludes that Trump family (Trump daughter Tiffany married to Lebanese billionaire family Bulos) might be in trouble getting phosphate out of Syria since Russian fleet in Tartus port mainly delivers it throughout the world.
Looks to me that Putler went straight for jugular as far as Trump. He just made the war in UKR personal for him.
This also means that Trump plans of withdrawing military help to UKR were overestimation on the part of political right. Why would otherwise Putler rearrange the whole ME chess board.
He sacrificed Syria, hoping Trump will choose family profits from phosphates over the Ukraine.

Business is business and family is family. The phosphates will continue being distributed. A work around of some sort was arranged on the withdrawal. Tic for tac. Now they both can work on the Ukraine problem without diversions.
