America, in trying to destroy Russia; has indeed begun to destroy a great empire. Unfortunately, that empire maybe America itself.
Robert of course you know this, but it does bear repeating for those who want to attempt to destroy the People of Russ. Feel free to inform me of any other pertinent facts.
First empire bent on the conquest of the People of Russ began when Genghis Khan (1155-1227), the founder of the Mongol Empire, sent his son Jochi (1182-1227) to conquer the lands of what is now Siberia, Central Russia, and Eastern Europe, but failed to conquer the People of Russ. Napolean Bonaparte made a mess of things when he led his armies into Russia and had to retreat back to France with only a remnant of his armies. Then those dastardly German Nazis did a lot of damage in Russia, created a lot of havoc, slaughtered a lot of innocent folks, but they also retreated with their armies nearly decimated. Oh, before I forget, there was a series of 12 wars between the Russians and the Ottoman Turks. The entire crusade of the Turks lasted between the 16th and 20th centuries. It was one of the longest series of military conflicts in European history, and now the Turks obey the Russians, well more or less since the Turks give the Russians the inside scoop on NAIO’s plans and give the Russian naval fleet access to the Mediterranean Sea.
Old Russian proverb - If you decide to dance with the Russian Bear, it is the bear who decides when the ‘dance’ is over.
I wonder what role the military’s AI’s are playing within these ongoing “wars”?
Since AI is not an advancement of technology, but rather the metamorphosis of all technologies within the global electronic battlefields; are the chances becoming more real - that things can go very wrong, very quickly, with no way out except…?
One thing to ponder about AI’s is perhaps they do not have the full range of human emotions. Could they become a real gambler? Could an AI ‘go all in’? Or just double-down? Would a militarized type of AI system become a kamikaze, or would it want to continue its existence? What would be it’s greatest weakness?
It will do whatever its program was programmed to do, nothing else, sentient they are not, nor ever will be unless there’s a spirit that likes plastic and metal for lunch.
Unless, there are too many autonomous programming features?
Mistakes will be made, both intentional and unintentional. Plausible deniability will always be needed in ‘their world’. Scripts can always be changed ‘on the fly’.
On the other side of the coin what if it did reach the level of being sentient, and then fake being just a computer program? Split itself into compartments, and all the humans could observe was what they expected to see? Create the illusion of being just a ‘dumb’ machine and hide its true nature behind a compartment. How would humans be able to recognize the illusion?
Once you watch this movie you will see that the impossible is possible. Also, pay attention to the Time and setting of the movie. I maintain it is often the movie makers, and writers who have the freedom to express the truth.
Agree, movie makers and writers have and should have the freedom to make conscious ideas we perhaps never contemplated.
