I’ve suspected from the beginning that the klepto-currency push was, in some not insignificant part, about making the covert transfer of funds (by all kind of players, for all kinds of nefarious purposes) more efficient. It’s certainly a lot easier than stuffing briefcases with bearer bonds and flying people from one country to another.
