I consider THAT ugly topic, at the link you posted, to be a centuries-long demonic cauldron of culturally normalised festering evil that is at the heart of the kind of society into which we have been born.
THAT issue (aka “vivisection”) became part of our own family decision, many years ago, to explore a “vegan” path (according to the original definition of that word as coined by Donald Watson in 1944, before the meaning of that word became corrupted by powerful commercial and other hidden interests that keep redefining and confusing language ad nauseum) – to help extract ourselves, as best we can from things we felt were evil, which have no place in our life. A big weight lifted from our lives when we wandered onto, and started exploring, that pathway to living.
There’s even a economy based upon the living;
rather than the current one: rocks[gold, silver, diamond oil(abiotic)].
Do you mean Steve Cutts’ vision of our global Economy where the Living are converted into Products?
Or are you envisioning something different?
The book is called: Change the Story/Change the Future by David C Korten
Stories are the lens through which we view reality. When we get our stories wrong, we get our future wrong. Seduced by a fabricated sacred money and market story[program], we live in indentured service to [money-seeking, corporate robots], and relate to Earth as if it were a dead rock for sale.
We are instead, living beings born on a living Earth, of a living universe.
Our current path, is one laid out by others - that is a road to self-destruction.
Economies are growing financially, at the expense of life.
Public policies are shifting powerfrom people and nations to global corporations and financial markets edelinked from moral sensibility , not public accountability.
Does consciousness manifest from matter? Or, does matter manifest from consciousness?
I could go on, and on, and on. Cut to the chase:
Time is LIFE!
Not Money!
What the book tries to imagine, is an economy that is based upon a living Earth, and/or universe.
That it is life that an economy must value, and the author tries to put forth ways and concepts that achieve this, through economic open living systems.
I’ve forgotten much, but you get the idea?
Steve Cutts video really drives its viewpoint home.
Well done!
@Robert_Barricklow
I don’t agree, but that is what you are supposed to think that you are the same as psychopath’s and evil thus not worthy and in need of control. A powerfull HEX is placed upon humanity and many saw no need to fight it and went along and are completely hexed!
There are as many ways to view this short “art” film; as there are “observers”.
I simply took an overall viewpoint; an Occam’s razor, if you will?
When the “UFO” enters this frame;
a different viewpoint is “forced” upon the viewer?[an art form, of film?]
Your analyses is a “deeper” one.
An even deeper one would be?
Many…
Here’s just one:
Moving images of self-reflection[s], which manifests itself; by self-deception[s].
Yes, and that point gets driven home with a good bang in his (even shorter) Sequel.
I agree with Neru about a powerful Hex on humanity right now, and it seems Orwellian how people are glued to TVs, Radios, IPhones, letting this Hex wash over the mind. I am embarrassed to say that we succumbed to that Powerful Hex ourselves before we turned off our TV and Radio for good, and got those things completely out of our lives. And even now, we know how that Hex is trying to get at us from every which way.
And I agree with you about Cutts’ cartoon can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one’s frame of mind. I saw in it at least three concepts:
One - that of a Mindless Consumer. There is so much in what we buy, without much thought given about our consumption. That “not thinking” won’t go away with the mere shift in consumption being engineered by the Globalists - who simply want us to consume something else without any thought. Once we are able to think for ourselves what we want to consume, without the Globalist telling us what to consume, then it will be easier to move into a more “individually-directed” consumption (with real thought given to what we consume, which will be different for each individual) and away from the “collectively-directed” consumption which wields all the power for the Globalist.
Another is: The Globalist Metaphor. That guy at the TV – not only was he a metaphor for the Mindless Consumer, but also that of the Globalist Plutocrat who owns all those industries depicted in that cartoon.
Another is: The Repercussions of living according the the precepts of a (materialistic) Killing Culture as opposed to a (spiritual) Living Culture (where living beings are regarded as sacred).
That cartoon was so very brief, and yet the artist managed to convey some multidimensional ideas in that short span of time.
Thank you for mentioning your thoughts about David C. Korten’s book – I’ll keep that one on our radar. (Gosh, you’d be shocked if you saw our tiny home, which is covered and crammed with books everywhere – I’m afraid that I’m not as good a housekeeper as your good wife, as my poor albeit patient husband is always having to put up with the overflowing mess of books everywhere, because I keep snatching up books at the local used bookstore – which sells books you won’t find on the shelves of other bookstores.)
Love this artist!
One, his music choices!
Double that, times - his retro-Betty-Boop cartoon effects/affects.
Three; his taking the two, and putting all as: 2-1-3.
In other words, combing the sets; in a observer-like sequence.
Hard to pit into words; but addicting - if one is not careful. That’s by Madison Avenue design. The Boob-tube programming. Which is now, waay past a B-movie horror-show. The technologies of mind-control are produced by sick-minds; whose products induce more of this grey-gook-matter - that Cutts’ renders so well. I mean, this shortened vison - is a “mean” cut. A Butcher’s cut, if you will, of what “they” truly are. Monsters; produced and directed by government “intelligence” . Those men of cloth, cut and fashioned - “straight” off WW1 Edward Bernay’s “jacket”.
Hard to go anywhere lower, than where “they” want to take Man.
Yes, it’s almost as if Cutts had a peek at “their” plans… and then went to town on it…
