The logic just doesn’t work … We have continual evidence that the so-called “space program” is a scam. We have no evidence that we have any kind of ability to “get to the moon”. We can barely limp into LEO. Now with this announcement we appear to have not only the ability to get both the necessary components there but also the folks (and necessary supplies / accommodations) required for assembly. Up to this point the longest time spent on the Moon was 75 hours. Of this 75 hours approx. 23 hours were spent “working” (walking, picking up rocks and dirt, driving around). That “work” did not include any activity even remotely related to the kind of heavy industrial construction being suggested. On Earth the median time to build a nuclear reactor is 6.3 years. The mean time was slightly higher at 7.5 years.
Um, I thought we were trillions (somewhere between 35 and 125) in debt and that at this point and into the foreseeable future that we will not have sufficient energy generation on Earth. Yet we appear to be ready to spend time and resources to have power generation on the Moon? Solve problems on Earth first.
Government idiocy is off the chart … unless the Government has a few things they would like to tell us about.
The logic just doesn’t work … Unless your intention is to launder money … Can you imagine the “cost overruns” for this little project.
