I was waiting for this to happen and sho nuf. When USMCA was passed, it pretty much gave Mexico exclusive ‘manufacturing rights’ for North America with regard to many items, including the chips that Taiwan now makes and so much more! Yeah, that was a brilliant move; signing an Agreement with a primarily Latin country (Nieto was President at the time); that is not exactly heavily into ‘free markets’. Not that anything in U.S. is ‘free’ but a lot more than Mexico. In reality, Mexico is just more open about their Bartertown Blackmail.
