I am not the only one who noticed, see the Vidchat page. Thank goodness that the subtitles and transcript function work.
Do you mean October 27? Yes, the sound was horrible and Joseph wasn’t able to do anything about it. Fortunately the CC function seems to work well enough. He had to restart a couple of times. We went 4.5 hours and the quality never improved. It’s marginally better viewed in Vimeo. Lots of good discussion if you bear with it! It might help to read the submitted questions while watching.
Yeah, Joseph tried, but nothing worked. I may go back and listen to part of it, if there are subtitles now. Usually I knit during vidchats, and I tried to follow the written questions but I didn’t understand most of the answers. I said out loud to may cat; “Someone is trying to cancel this vidchat!”
Unfortunately CC depends on the sound to translate to text. There was little improvement. I couldn’t take it anymore. Too much discomfort. I suspect the Vimeo software. I hope something changes in the future.
