What overpopulation?

How old is this and do we believe it? My village has more than doubled in size in the last few years, 600 more houses are proposed. The entire area has housing estates mushrooming; the roads can’t cope, shops can’t refill the shelves fast enough. Yes, there are still areas of unspoilt countryside if you drive out, but they are getting smaller.

would u be so kind to fetch a diagram of how the English Mind is used up?
:joy:
just kiddin’ bro’.
from land to mind (landmind/mine), and betcha u’d have to work more on that mind…

The proposed housing is probably some form of money laundering…I don’t know, should one believe one’s own lying eyes on such matters… or a narrative… It makes me think of Ocean levels…

well Houston, we have a problem…

In 1970, the U.Mich had an ā€œenvironmental teach-inā€ and the university was shut down for a week and every building had a conference or lecture on topics related to the topics generally taught in that building. I was in the School of Natural Resources and my ecology class was instrumental in planning and promoting the idea. Earth Day came out of this concept.

My point is that I heard a debate between McClusky, then Sen from CA. and Murray Bookshin, a radical leftist from Berkley. This was my first exposure to ā€œtoo many humansā€ and we need to stop having babies and promote abortion plan. Despite my Michigan experience, Bookshin was so far left that even after 53 years, his name is still a ā€œpull upā€ in my rolodex brain.

I thought it was the Club of Rome’s ā€œThe Limits to Growthā€ from 1972…
