On A Humorous Note

Australia’s national science agency has developed an app for citizens to track their flatulence; including frequency, stench, loudness, and duration.
They’re getting it down to a precise science; the average person breaks wind between seven and twenty times a day,
Don’t be shy, open the app and enter your data on frequency, odor, etc. etc.

Now that’s 20th-Worst Century Science…
personified!

Wow, Robert, that is incredible. Last week the Portuguese government announced the spending of a few million euros on a Portuguese version of chatgbt - I thought that was the stupidest idea of 2024. But, alas, we have been outclassed…

Interestingly, I had written here about a travel book I was reading called:
Crazy River, Exploration and Folly In East Africa by Richard Grant.
What this have to do with flatulance?
Well, the African name for whites is: muzungu. The first white people in the East African part of the world were explorers and missionaries.
Muzungu originally meant “those who wander around lost in an annoying way”.
Then the Masai came up with the term iloridaa enjeka for whites,
“those who confine their farts”, which was popularized.
That term is slipping out of use now, and they are using mazungu again.

Hence, the title, Crazy River.
There are a lot of crazy things associated with Africa, that he brings to light.
