That was excellent if worrying, and perhaps the reason the PTB seem to be running hard to launch, sell and establish their technocracy oh by 2030. Looks like from this piece that first mover advantage is not real or only reason for such speed. The top layers are eating the next layers below them first it would seem while everyone is looking at and discussing how AI/Digital Id is being covered and written about at the base of the socio economic pyramid. I.e. Are we then just a useful distraction for an elite process of economic cannibalism?

I think at least two things are going on: actual development of AI by one or more companies, plus a stock market bubble. The first will help build out the control grid. The second will allow executives who are compensated in company stock to cash out their stock and get big gains before the bubble bursts. The bubble, of course, being largely financed by all those in the public hoodwinked by the constant propaganda about how all-powerful AI is going to be deployed en masse tomorrow . . .

Agree. Recall that the subsidiary company of Deutsche Bank in New York, IKC?, jumped too late which nearly brought down the Deutsche Bank in 2007/8.
