It was an inevitability that there would be a reaction, and I’ve heard that some farmers and ranchers in the State of Texas were doing this years ago as they had already reached the conclusion that the federal and state goobernments were basically worthless and not going to do a thing. I don’t know how true that is or not, but it was and is inevitable.
It worked in the Wild West days when communities had no law enforcement or a less than brave or corrupt sheriff.
… Yes, some of those reports were true … and in some areas in the South and East is still ongoing. What else are we to do at this point? It would seem that “they” would take whatever (actual) actions necessary to prevent “DIY”. No way on God’s Green Earth those numbers are correct. Those numbers have not been verified in any way by any one. Simply making a claim by stating a number is not evidence. As I’ve said before until we have the following: bodies, photos, fingerprints, DNA samples, details of apprehension, deportation and destination (with documentation and verification of each step) the numbers that we are given are just marks on a page with no meaning. The only purpose of the numbers is to make the sheeple think that something is being done so that we will quickly return to the state of the two workers at the end of The Truman Show. What else is on? We all know that the “arrests” we see are nothing but crisis actor theatre - a form of deep state cosplay.
And then there is this as well … NO number from any official source is to be believed. If they claim the “official number of criminal illegals” to be 20 million you can bet the number is just as likely to be 40 million.

Sadly, I can believe it, and totally agree with the numbers on a page… after all, the Supreme Sovie… er… Federal government would never lie, would they?
It’s true that nature abhors a vacuum and the right to use force, even deadly, should be constrained the constitution at a minimum. Does deputising citizens through county/town law enforcement not happen/work?
However, vigilantism is generally very difficult replace later, and blood feuds are born within that womb. I have seen this firsthand and it is not pretty particularly where local biasses, internecine self serving interests and the absence of any effective moral compass are extant. Even the “return to normal” is never complete with endemic blood feuds and corruption continuing. So if risking a longer term abuse of absolute power, that over life and death, concomitant with standard corruptions then go for it. The urge for overt revenge, rather actual law and order becomes a common feature.
On a point of information the numbers don’t seem to add up 7,000 released offenders responsible for less than 3000 offences and 7169 yet to be released offenders responsible for just over 400 offences?
That was a well lucid, well thought out objection (seriously) but,

The risk, I think, would be worth the stretch. This situation is rapidly approaching, and on several levels, a “let’s let God sort it out afterwards, last man standing wins” sort of a deal.
It’s a complicated issue to be sure, and choosing the right agents to carry out such plans would be paramount to mission success. The current system is good for nothing but lip service, however (if that, likely much worse), and taking no action at all would be falling in right where they want us to be.
I’m fond of saying that voting with one’s feet no longer has much of an effect…Now voting with one’s bootheel…there’s a chance that might make some difference.

Since the “state” has the monopoly on killing and maintaining law and order, while the various “branches” of the policing apparatus apparently don’t appear to recognize a “trunk”, there is no way for law and order to prevail under those circumstances.

… may I add that law and order appear to have become mutually exclusive (logically incompatible) … if one understands “law” as this “protect and serve” Somaliapolis officer understands it, if one has his idea of “law” one can not have order.
If only we could let Minnesota turn into Minnesotastan and deal with the consequences itself! Ditto for California et al. The trouble would be sealing off the borders of sane states to people traveling or moving from crazy states.
In a certain way, the Minneapolis and Texas examples set a possibly useful precedent: Let states take care of what the federal government won’t. That’s probably putting too much faith in state governments . . . for the moment anyway.
But it’s inevitable that if no government will take care of things, citizens will (at least some will). In that case, it’s going to be a numbers and loyalty game because those individuals who take care of things will be hunted down and killed or jailed by governments in many places. As in revolutions, it will come down to whose side the police and military take.
