Part 3 of The Secret Religions of the West Lectures by James Lindsey 'As Below, So Above"

The Secret Religions of the West, Session 3 of 3

In the Esoteric Religion known as Hermeticism, there are a number of core principles of operation, perhaps most famously the Principle of Correspondence. It’s often worded “As above, so below,” but this is only half of the principle. The full expression is “As above, so below; as below, so above,” which outlines a snake eating its own tail as a driver of Hermetic alchemical magic. In his third lecture for the Mere Simulacrity conference in Phoenix, Arizona, in December 2022, James Lindsay explains how this principle is a driver of what he calls the “Secret Religions of the West” in an elucidating way. He contends that Karl Marx was the first to realize that the principle of correspondence must be applied from the bottom. Working on the world (as below) to change it (so above), and then the world (as above), changed, will socialize and condition people (so below) to accept the changes and make them “actual.” Marx called these two dynamics “praxis” and the “inversion of praxis,” but now we can expose them clearly for what they are. Join Lindsay to understand the mechanism behind the activism in many evils, including Marxism, Critical Race Theory, Queer Theory and feminism, Modern empire building, and even right-wing reactionary response, which plays its crucial role in this ongoing dynamic of destruction.

Now we have an understanding of how the history of ideas was captured to bring about the craziness we are witnessing and the demanding zealotry for acceptance. Excellent post. Thank you for sharing.

A lot of what James Lindsay talks about is in David Flynn’s books: Temple At The Center of Time: Newton’s bible Codex Finally Deciphered and the year 2012 and Cydonia: The Secret Chronicles of Mars. Don’t let the titles deter you because the information in these books is amazing. He died of a fast acting brain tumor 22 Jan 2012; the same year his 2nd book (Temple…) was published. Dr. Ferrell quotes him in the 3rd Death Star book.

Y’all may have already done this…but all the speakers and sessions from the Mere Simulacrity conference can be viewed by simply entering mere simulacrity conference at YouTube…some are better than others…but their all meaty to be sure…

There is one more lecture by J. Lindsay on Gnosticism and beautiful apology of Fides et Ratio or how I like to translate it “how to stay sane.”

@ericwalker thanks for the tip but I watched all three because of the introduction vid from @Ellie. Thank you!

I watched and listened to all three quite a few times. They filled in quite a gap in my understanding of how we were hoodwinked long ago and are only now realizing the ramifications and lunacy.

@Bill10558 I could never get past Genesis because of the first two versus.

The Beginning

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

I would be like wait, what? God created the heavens and the EARTH but the EARTH was formless and empty. So Earth was Re-Created? And then I was reading Chuck Missler and he explained the three periods of earth, etc… Always searching.

Yes, love Missler…as a Biblicist he probably set me on my “stranger things” path more than anyone…to your point…I believe he was an Old Earth Creationist…aka the Ruin to Restoration view and/or the Gap view…in a nutshell…Gen 1:1 speaks of the original perfect creation created by God Ex Nihilo in ages past…then the creation was judged by God due to a cosmic war with rebel angels during a time when heaven and earth (as above as below) were overlapped and existing together in harmony but was then separated as the physical realm was reduced to being without form and void (tohu wa-bohu in Hebrew) for an undisclosed period of time…then in Gen 1:3 and following God determined to restore His creation over a 6 day period…while controversial among those of the faith what’s interesting is that another scripture supports this view that God didn’t “originally” (Gen 1:1) create the earth formless and void or tohu wa-bohu but created in perfection as stated in Isaiah 45:18 below…so the “empty choas” or formlessness and voidness must have come after Gen 1:1 via a cataclysm and catastrophe as stated in Gen 1:2…

Tohu wa-bohu - Wikipedia

For the LORD is God, and he created the heavens and earth and put everything in place. He made the world to be lived in, not to be a place of empty chaos (Tohu wa-bohu). “I am the LORD,” he says, “and there is no other. Isaiah 45:18

2 great reads on the topic…

Yes, was looking at The Gap Theory for a while since Missler talked about the three periods. He was the first one that helped me get past Genesis I and II. I am learning so much more since then especially the original translations could be wrong. This video as others intrigue me:

Yes, I struggled with the Young Earth Creationist view that creation was a mere 6000+ yrs old…the Old Earth Ruin to Restoration view was the key that unlocked the door and allowed all the pieces to fall right into place for me…
