Pattern of Holes in Mid-Atlantic Range

They look almost too clean to be ancient, as silt would have drifted over them. Or would it? Perhaps this is like the opening scene of a movie I vaguely remember, where a guy was recording his opening of an ancient Mayan space, talking about how no one has been there for 1000 years. Then he finds a coca cola bottlecap…
