PKD saw it coming...always worth revisiting

I have a subscription to New Dawn, also cool articles to jiggle an open mind. PKD is one of the few novelists in my personal library.

Tom Luongo is constantly referring to PKD as if this was a PKD world at this point.

Well history does seem to predict the future so perhaps past and future make the present.

Reading up on him a bit…it appears he led not only a relatively short life but a troubled one…from his sisters death early on…to 5 troubled marriages…to wild swings from one end of the political spectrum to the other…to health/mind issues…to run in’s with the govt…finally an early death that he supposedly foresaw…in addition it’s interesting how he thought his alter-self which gave him his special insights and writing abilities was an entity named Thomas who was a 1st century Christian persecuted by Rome and that it was the Christian ichthys symbol in the context of physical pain and power pharmaceuticals that ultimately triggered his “understanding” in his pink light experience…whether it was the spiritist’s guides like Bailey’s Djwhal Khul…or it was sci-fi novelists like Huxley’s use of LSD…or it was film makers like Kubrick’s mysterious and short life…these influencers all appear to have been given uncanny insights from very unconventional methods…I might suggest juxtaposing that to the likes of Lewis and Tolkien…

As to the juxtapositioning…these clips are a bit old and I couldn’t find all the other segments so you might look for them if interested…but I enjoyed them and they give the core or punchline of the documentary I would think…

Very interesting…thanks for sending…I had never thought about it, but its interesting comparing the paths of Lewis and Richard…two extraordinarily gifted deep thinking writers…both had early wounds that created a continuous and rebellious spirit which drove them to question reality and authority…both started off with at least somewhat of a Christian grounding (Lewis grandfather was a pastor, Richard had proximity to Quakerism)…as they matured both struggled with the philosophical perceptionism and perspectalism of the thinking class…in the end it appears that one elected to acquiesce to that great Hound of Heaven as he chose of his own freewill to submit himself to that ultimate “Authority” while the other appears to not have chosen to submit and opened that door and walk through even though that “fish” literally came knocking on his door that faithful and painful afternoon…

My computer auto changed Richard to Richard :joy:

OMG…it won’t let me type ****…so let me use Phillip
