My best friend is from Poland & is going home to see her mother in 2 weeks. She also says lots of people being taken in & housed. Says lots of people from Ukraine work in Poland & have family there.

Poland is doing amazing work in helping these people, Very streamlined and so much local support! They are a humanitarian superpower!
Most EU countries are stepping up at the moment. As we should do. This is a real refugee crisis.
Also from The Netherlands there are people who after watching the drama at the border cannot take it any longer. They take their car and drive to the border in Poland to pick up some people and bring them back to their home. More and more people are doing this.
Women and children leaving and men stay behind to fight.
Heartbreaking to see elderly people fleeing. When i saw that i wanted them to pick them up and bring them to my house.
This refugee crisis is very different compared to the last few years of refugees streaming in with the boats from Turkey.
