What is some small measure of comfort is that “the Church”, not the clerical bureaucracy, but the faithful and their traditional shepherds, cotinue to conserve and preserve pre 1962 teachings. Indeed, another book of what he termed “faction” by Fr Malachi Martin, and titled “Windswept House” details his insights and witnessing of the lead in, duration and aftermath of that exercise in infiltration and subvertion of the Vatican RC Bureacracy and Magesterium, which was the Second Vatican Council. Again being “faction” its characters are based on actual people and events, and are barely disguised. In my view, regrettably the now heretical Bureacracy and its erstwhile apostacies, is no longer representative, leaving the issue of sacremental integrity/authority and services, which are still attached. The “Church” did not leave Roman Catholicism, many were rerouted by modernism especially as aligned over time with neoliberalism which eventually evolved into and became known as “Wokeness”. It was the Vatican and clerical bureaucracy which left its faithful Church, bringing the misdirected and deluded with them.
Might this be a root cause for scale and duration of exorcisms globally, now taking years not days to deliver, or that the “Dark Principality” grafted to and resulting from Vatican 2, or that the pre-1962/5 ordained priesthood, are all but exinct and what remains represnt a lessened authority? That a crisis in exorcism summit held in 2014 Vatican crisis conference to combat a surge in Satanism | Irish Independent has had to be repeated again in 2026 with yet more urgency and spiritual trepidation Pope Leo hosts exorcist summit at the Vatican over fears of worldwide surge in Satanism ?
However, the “Refuges” at local level are now being developed and we are seeing an expansion of the return to traditional RC Magesterium and values.

… when will the purge of “The Church” begin?

There will be a separation of the wheat from the chaffe, it will be organic as the both sets of beliefs and practice, become inimical and untenable towards each other. neither willwant to worship/practice in the others places. An active purge will probably be unneccessary.

Taking “the Church” as defined as the people and not the officialdom which is the Vatican/Curia/Novus Ordo Cardinals/Bishops/clerics et al. The latter is dying on the vine and would not be the focus to traditional Catholics, the former have have been recognised for decades for who and what they represnt, and like Hollywood, their theatrics are dying.
Kick the dust off the sandals and separate, the traditional faithful, clerics/bishops/religious etc will move with the remnant…
… and that will require an “active” purge. There is now no more time to wait as things play out and hope for the best. Waiting for things to “play out” is what has brought us to this sad point.

Leave them to whatever Principality they worhsip now from the religious aspect. Many are not of God anymore, quite the opposie in fact. Render them unto Caesar and leave the world to deal with them and their crimes where required, if that is what thrust of your point is. They should be treated no differently than others from that point of view.
