I"m not a Putin fan but he is right. The radical left either ignore the history of the Soviet Union and its failed experiment or they say “well we will do it better!”. A response that Jordan Peterson has quickly eviscerated to deaf leftist indoctrinated ears but acknowledged by the silent majority.
my favourite line was when he compared Hollygreed to the “agitprop department” of the Central Committee.
I just keep thinking about what JPF said about that national day of repentance for the murders of Czar Nicholas & his family. It seems Putin - and like everyone, I am not endorsing the man, just responding to his observations about society - is a student of history, not a denier of it.
not a word he minced, as always. i imagine the western politicians whining just by looking at him.
It’s like he’s one of those villainous people they have on those silly exploitative current affairs shows, like Hard Copy. All they need is the forboding music and it wouldn’t matter what he said, he’d just be pure evil! I have relatives who feel sick whenever Putin is on the news. I try telling them to read their history but they just look at me like stunned goldfish.
Yeah, if the propaganda is well done there is no room for thought, only feeling… Still seems to work on the majority of the herd sadly…
Yes. And for American Boomers, there is an overwhelming tendency to conflate the Russian Federation with the Soviet Union, as if there were no changes - and an absolute amnesia about what the US did upon the collapse of the Soviet Union. The rapacious “economic advisors,” and the like.
I wouldn’t like living in Russia under Sber Bank, etc., but the crime rate in the 1990’s was staggering and Putin put an end to that.
Homer Simpson: “Just listen to that music! You know he’s guilty!”
