R.I.P. DuckDuckGo

It does not make a difference using Google or DuckDuckGo now, so i am going back to Google. Both are censoring the search results.
Does anybody have another suggestion?

You might give Brave a try. It is the next in line of uncensored search engines.

Closing one’s ears doesn’t prevent another from speaking.

I use Brave including the Brave search engine, so far so good…

Thanks for bringing this up – I use DuckDuck and was unaware of it.

Remember, the reason for DuckDuckgo was not that the search results would be different from google (they share the same search algo) BUT, that your IP address and SEARCH history would not be forever correlated and used against you in “a court of law”.

pray for the destruction of our enemies (google, alphabet LLC is one of them)

this is not a promotion for duckduckgo - attempting to correct technical assumptions.

Here is a good article listing a selection of other search engines that you may use. The search engine landscape is wide and deep. Check out a couple of these and experiment, it costs you nothing and messes with google’s and amazon’s grip on your data.

Searchencrypt and Startpage are good solutions for improved privacy, as is Swisscows mentioned above. Or try any of the others for yourself. Dont ever think there aren’t alternatives for you.

As for browsers, your mileage may vary. I use Opera and Firefox mostly, depending on which platform or OS I am using. Chromium too, if I have to. The thing to remember is that these interfaces primarily rely on marketing and your unwillingness to change to keep you hooked into their “ecosystem” or whatever the current buzzwords are for describing user entropy. Don’t be afraid of changing up your browser either, its easy and straightforward.

Best advice for doing all this is to get a notebook and WRITE YOUR PASSWORDS DOWN ACCURATELY and keep it safe. It’s a hassle, sure, but if you’ve ever lost your car keys, I bet you’ve wished you had a spare set stored somewhere reliable.

DuckDuckGo - Telegram.
Al those so-called different things falling one by one toeing the sanctioned line.

Either subscriptions with their own server, maybe can cut it being still free speech, but the rest???

That typewriter is coming awfully close.

@Peter I’m not changing because ddg skewered search results for the Ukraine game. When I want updates for that I already use a list of what I believe are credible sites with The Duran at the top of that list. If it becomes a habit or is bought out by an untrustworthy entity, that might be a different story.
