Sounds like some of the ancient elites had too much time on their hands much like today.
I’d say just as evil then as now. A woman has to disguise her son as a girl? The whole GLBT+ is a part of our history that now has been loaded into the political toolbox.

Once upon times it was SPQR, now it apparently is LBGT. What next? Who is the standard-bearer and what shall be the Standard? I got my own ideas, but would really like to know.
