In my ideal world, they’d leave enforcement up to the states, who could then deputize whomever they chose. Then Jayapal could house, in his own state, all the people he claims the federal government is so badly mistreating. Imagine all the people sharing all Washington State . . . I know, that’s a pipe dream, just like Lennon’s song. (Sorry, couldn’t resist chiming in again! I’ll be taking a break for the Christmas holidays…)
