Recent Joe Rogan Mike Tyson podcast

During a lazy Saturday afternoon I happened to listen to the Rogan/Tyson podcast from a few weeks ago today. I accessed it through Spotify on the Joe Rogan Experience show page.

It’s a little over three hours long but the diversity of topics and conversation was highly interesting and entertaining.

Tyson certainly still has a craziness to him but they dive deep on topics like ancient history, discussing Marcus Aurelius meditations, the way of the samurai and classics like yoshikawa’s musashi, and Tysons incredible knowledge of animals and nature ranging from different birds to polar bears.

For any boxing fans Tyson also gives great insight into his relationship with famed boxing trainer Cus D’Amato who mentored him from the age of 13 off the streets of Brooklyn. He explains his psychological approach to teaching is what propelled him to become the fiercest man on the planet for his reign as champ.

I always knew Tyson had a lot of different passions (of course marijuana and psychedelics are a big one). However I found his take on topics like ancient Rome and kings/emperor’s Genghis Khan thru Napoleon captivating. His expertise on animals is also no joke.

Anyways, if u can tolerate a little silliness and craziness it’s an episode worth checking out (perhaps break it up into 3 sections as 3 plus hours is a long time)

Anyone else able to listen to it?

Listened to Mike before, like you watched the entire show, not sure where the source of his knowledge comes from? Find him interesting, marijuana and psychedelics? Psychedelics are a gateway drug to the dark side. Nice man who I’ve enjoyed in and out of the ring but in need of prayers.

Like I said he’s got crazy still in him, and who can blame him really, he grew up on the streets of BK and literally had to fight to secure food as a kid. I don’t condone his use or excessive promotion of these drugs, but I know I have had and still have demons of my own as well…

He can be cringe worthy one second but shockingly deep and profound the next. He’s also clearly a scholar who researches these historical topics seriously.

But yes, viewers be advised…
