Capitalism is the cancer!

I’d rather that, than join the ā€œBorg Collectiveā€- besides, they’ve re-labeled it collectivism and Stakeholder society… same thing again and again…

The borg stinks, I agree. Communism and socialism are different. Problem with capitalism is if there is constant competition in all markets, how can a society advance beyond a rat race? Collaboration is the way, sharing of resources instead of stealling!

I believe Berlage made the claim that Capitalism was built to fail, it can be effective to establish a new country on the frontier but can’t last forever. Scandanavian countries are succesful with socialism, are they not?

Here’s a paper that references Berlage, sort of interesting:

The Past is the Future: The Middle Ages as a
Model for Social Change in Dutch Art
and Architecture around 1900
KEES VAN DER PLOEG
Rijksuniversiteit Groningen

Abstract

The constitutional reform of the Netherlands of 1848, which
shaped the institutional conditions for the modernisation of the
country, also resulted in the restoration of the Catholic
hierarchy, which had been abolished during the Reformation.
One of its consequences was that the large Catholic minority
expressed its regained self-consciousness by building a wealth
of ornate Neogothic churches. More remarkably, around 1900,
the movement of Gemeenschapskunst [Community Art] – by
and large the Dutch equivalent of Symbolism – was strongly
inspired by medieval art and architecture to express the ideal of
a future society that would be based on a socialist utopia.
Accordingly, the new Exchange building in Amsterdam (1903)
was successfully created by its architect, Hendrik Berlage, and
his fellow-artists as a symbol of such a society to come by
appropriating medieval iconography and style as well as
architectural typology.

Towards the end of the nineteenth century many European artists
felt deeply dissatisfied with the legacy of Impressionism. The
revolutionary ethos of Impressionism had become obsolete – the
refusƩs had become arrivƩs. What the new generation of artists was
now looking for in art was content instead of what they had come to
see as the merely optical effects of painting. This fundamental shift of
focus in the visual arts is one of the main factors in Van Gogh’s rising
popularity, growing into a sort of sainthood, after his untimely death

I’m relatively certain that all systems are tools of manipulation, and that we’ve probably never experienced anything other than ā€œHand in Gloveā€ā€¦ The reason I smart at Communism or Socialism to such an extent is due to it’s Machine like/systematized nature… Inevitably, if you regard a human as a generic machine, you’re already on a reductive/atheistic path that leads inevitably to an Inhuman and soulless environment… I think you have to let people alone to be the messy, chaotic and creative creatures that they are… There is no Utopia while we’re in the ā€œFleshā€ I reckon…

I think the problem is the tension between people who are messy and chaotic in that emotive/human sense, and the people who are basically instruments of will and calculation. I have both types in my family. It makes the root race theory of the Theosophists make a lot of sense, because even if both types are technically human, they may as well be from different dimensions of existence. As for harmony between the two, it seems to come down to power, and the calculating/willing type seem to be able to get it more easily than the chaotic type. Not good news if you just want to be left alone!

Living in a little country in Europe being in my sixties, I have never seen capitalism. What I have seen is fascism and or communism. Today, I see a mixture of the former two with the new technology possabilities in the mix to get to that same slavery that could not be optimized by the former two!

ŠžŠŗ. And what is your suggestion?
Instead of the Borg collective, what do you suggest in your opinion?
What kind of something else?

We the people…will never give up and stop our fight for freedom.
Our fight for freedom, which is shown in the five-pointed star. Red one . Which is our blood and vow before anyone, even before God, for freedom.
Remember Krasnaya Zvezda.
ŠšŃ€Š°ĢŃŠ½Š°Ń звезГа́, literally ā€œRed Starā€
For it is true that many of you here on this website unconsciously or semi-consciously believe, and expect salvation of your dreams or dreams whitin the dreams, from something wrong that is closing on you right now?
Your dream savior is,or your wet dream savior is namely the Kremlin, Russia.
Right? :smirk:

Perhaps it’s like Gurdjieff said,- You don’t necessarily ā€œHaveā€ a Soul, but can earn one through endeavor… As for being ā€œLeft aloneā€- that’s probably not possible once you’ve incarnated here…

Or maybe it is as High Priest Bogumil preached.
Namely, you are not a soul, before your birth. But you become a soul when the souls of your parents who are defacto (infact) the angels that unite, in a spiritual and physical sense. Then and only then are you created as a soul. And from then and only from then onwards you exist as a soul .Not before that.
Bogumili, named after a priest named Bogumil, which means the one loved by God.
First, in Macedonia, then in Bosnia and Herzegovina, then finally they call themselves as Cathars in France, eternally persecuted and finally destroyed. These are historical facts. If you don’t believe it, look in the history books. See for yourself.

You might be right Mr Whatsisname… One way or another we’ll all get to find out in the end…

Well Capitalism may have died in Europe, if it ever really had a life there.

Fascism and authoritarianism can be a lot worse.

Does seem that many people are hypnotized into thinking that is all there is, and nothing can change for the better. I hope that isn’t true.
