I played D&D at around 10 yrs. old back in the late 70’s. My best friend was into Tolkien and “The Hobbit,” and so created a character based around a thief class of gnome. Yet, thieves had to be neutral if not evil and never of good alignment which got us into trouble with his mother when she found out. As head of the PTA, everybody at school knew and that was the end of our adventures. What made it worse was that one of my characters was a lawful good Paladin and so the Dungeon master had us fighting devils and demons. This was totally unacceptable to some of the parents of our class who I deemed to be overly protective and superstitious. My parents did not care but some thought it would warp our delicate minds. It did give me greater visualization skills as an adult, and something about life in the time of swords and sandals was so appealing. Wow have times changed with the dominance of judeo-masonic cultist secret societies so prominent in the undercurrents of today’s hypnotized youth. Its almost as if our society is engineered to the prophesy fulfillment of the occultists of the 30’s or sometime in the Hermetic past. I would never have known what a nephalim was back then and they steered away from the “end timers” bible-thumpers on purpose. Now we have a new apartment complex in town I just saw named “Nephalim 13!”
