Russia has just sent one of it’s most advanced tanks into Ukraine
These are called “terminator” tanks and they just showed up on May 15. I don’t see a large gun on this, instead there are 4 missile launchers. Supposedly these are best at urban combat. It looks like Russia softened up Ukraine with the old stuff first and then sent the good stuff. I still would not want to be in that. All the bad videos of tank destruction have shown them with the turret blown off. Where is the turret on this one? Most likely those two guns can pivot on a smaller less vulnerable platform that is obscured in this photo, and the missiles do the rest. That looks like a much harder to hit platform than everything else I have seen because the bulk of the tank is down in the tracks while on top of the tracks there is armor far away from the occupied area. On other tank designs there is nothing there because the turret has to spin. That’s probably a more robust design.
