Well, if the Moon’s current tenants (as in Ingo Swann’s description)- are anything like those on Mars/Phobos- they’ll be out of their holes and vandalizing/recycling any equipment that arrives right away… Unless they’ve moved out?

Curious thing how Musk doesn’t even bother with the Moon, and aims straight at Mars. What does he know, that anybody else doesn’t

Not a PR stunt, just another index element on the relative health of economies, STEM education, technoogical development and vision.
