Russia’s mistake was waiting too long; creating an illusion of weakness.
Victory is not about occupation; it’s about destablization.
Sowing internal disorder; towards gradual internal collapse.

Assassinations are going to happen - on all sides; including families; including neighborhoods, schools, hospitals[as happens in Russia] - they’re targets now; not collateral damage[as in Russia].
There will be no detente.

Provocations will be meant swiftly and decively.
Russia will start with conventional weapons.
The battlefiels will also encompass narratives, alliances, and public opinion.

You are correct, Robert. The Russians have been preparing for military escalation for many years prior to their most recent invasion of the Ukraine. All this was foreseen since The Orange Revolution in 2014 as stated in the first sentence of the RT article, “For Russia, the pre-war period ended in 2014.”

that the USSA coup d’etat of an elected leader, of The Ukranie, was taken out violently - killing many.

All true but ask the average American or European citizen and they will claim the Russians are the barbarians. Never mind that Russia has been invaded by the Mongols, the Turks, the French and then the Germans.
I remember being taught history in school as needing to remember the aggressor on tests. The circumstances around the need for aggression was pretty much glossed over.
I have posted this idea many years ago which is Christianity spread into Russian territory in the Middle Ages by missionaries. The Christian Faith became so widespread that around the year 988 AC Russia declared Christianity to be the only true religion and therefore adopted that belief system as the only acceptable religion.

The planet Earth does not always spin on an axis running through its North or South poles. Instead, it wobbles irregularly over eons of Time and then drifting towards the North, Central and South Americans throughout most of the past 20th Century. I don’t think Russia has an appetite for it. My opinion on their goals in the UKR have changed since last year. The ‘drone’ attack on Engels, this year’s Spiderweb attack. London&Uncle Sam seem to be at least half a dozen steps ahead of Russia.

I am beginning to think we need to question “Christianity” itself!! It has not changed the world as it was purported to do. A Belief System is just that…just because we believe something doesn’t make it true, IMO! I will admit it has been a great control mechanism for humanity. 
Christianity is the same as simply being a decent honest human. Unfortunately history shows we are outnumbered and were taken advantage of by the crafty clever ancient ruling families who used the chosen tribe and other hired help to do their dirty work.
Trumpet has just today after meeting with our well respected PM Starmer, has given Russia 10-12 days to stop the bombing.
I suppose after that, long range missiles begin hitting drone factories etc in Russia.
Something tells me, the Russians may not put up much resistance to these strikes. Public and military opinion may begin to turn against Putin. That could then be a catalyst for a soft regime change.
Maybe it’s only way out; for a leadership that’s destroyed their own countries - beyond repair?
Leadership that’s FUBAR’d their respective nations?
Only card they have for their people?

With those, who still have a Nation; that tries to better, their peoples’ lives.
Don’t hold your own country’s fracturing leadership accountable!
